Industrial Engineers Skills Assessment

Engineering
3 tests

Description

An Industrial Engineer should have excellent knowledge of designing, maintaining, and improving production systems. They are expected to understand complex systems, have an eye for identifying unnecessary inefficiencies, and suggest improvements to increase productivity.

Covered skills

Abstract Reasoning
Engineering Mathematics
Mechanical Design
Analytical Techniques

Which skills are tested?

The Industrial Engineer skill assessment is designed to evaluate candidates' problem-solving ability using abstract reasoning, their proficiency in engineering mathematics, and their depth of knowledge in mechanical engineering. The assessment will focus on key aspects of these three areas that are crucial for an industrial engineer. They include complex problem solving, applying mathematical principles to practical problems, designing machines, and understanding mechanical systems.

During the Abstract Reasoning section of this assessment, the candidates' skill to understand and solve complex, abstract problems will be tested. This is a critical skill for industrial engineers, as they often encounter unknown problems requiring novel solutions in their work.

The Engineering Math and Mechanical Engineering components will assess the candidate's ability to apply mathematical principles in technical problems and understanding of mechanical systems. Mechanical design, interpreting blueprints, knowledge of machinery, and the use of analytical techniques are some of the core capabilities that will be evaluated through these segments.
